Actors biography:

Axel Steinmüller grew up as the son of a German-Italian family. While receiving a vocal scholarship from the Berlin Music School from 1990-1992, he also worked as a lighting technician and member of the movement choir at the Deutsche Oper Berlin. During this time he also made his stage debut in the ragtime opera “Treemonisha” at the Schwetzingen Castle Festival. He then took up a degree in theatre studies, which he completed in 1996. At the same time he continued to work as an actor. Afterwards he deepened his training at the well-known Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute in New York. Since then he has appeared as an actor in numerous theatre and TV productions in Germany and Europe. At the same time, he also works as a presenter for trade fairs and corporate films as well as an author and director.

In 2018, the UK award-winning feature film “Why Siegfried Teitelbaum Had to Die”, written and directed by Axel Steinmüller, was released.

As an actor, Axel Steinmüller prefers to play dubious roles or charming villains, preferably in a historical context. But he also has a comic side. He likes to play strange or comical characters. Otherwise, Axel Steinmüller swims several times a week. He is a master of all swimming styles.
